The only thing you can do if you see someone cheating on your server is kicking them.
That is all.
Honestly this game is 99% single player. The MP component is really just meant to play a bit with your friends.
Worth a shot I guess.

Well you have to consider that there is nothing the devs can do as the servers are not servers run by them but by other players. So it is on the players to deal with cheats.
And unfortunately the devs have not given us the tools to do such..kicking does nothing as the idiots can just come right back in.
Only thing the devs can do is add a banning system into the game allowing players to ban others from their games. Not to mention why they do not have one is beyond me..that is a common addition to ANY game that has multiplayer in it.
And because the game runs off of your single player profile any kind of anti-cheat system is pointless to add until they seperate into a singleplayer profile and multiplayer profile.
no matter he is high level or cheat or use bug, even spook maker
so why do you waste time to complain?
focus on new content, improve UI, fix bug ok?
dont focus on your fragile mind, this is just your problem-.-
Probably because even though you can kick someone, they can just jump right back in as there is no way to block/ban them from joining you.
"dont focus on your fragile mind, this is just your problem-.-"
It will become everyone's problem if it goes unchecked and they continue to add more and more global events such as the recent event in the new Hunt Club Beta. You want new content but if that content is constantly ruined by cheaters, what's the point?
If it only affected the cheater/hackers game that would be one thing, but when they can join a multiplayer game and freeze all the animals for everyone, to me, it becomes an issue that will affect us all at some point. Unless of course you hide and don't play online with others and don't join in on any of the global events. It just doesn't seem fair to me that players should have to avoid parts of the game to avoid cheaters.
So yes, cheating is a problem, even if you don't see it now. At some point, if you keep playing, and the devs keep adding global events, you will be affected and maybe then you will see how important it is and why people are concerned about it.
NOTE: These are my thoughts on this subject and my thoughts alone and are not in anyway an official Statement or the opinion on the subject by Expansive Worlds.
in another game i keep a list for myself of players who i think dont play fair.
if there are going to be competitions later..there got to be a way of signalling cheaters.
its just an idea.
Despite the fact that people who got a different opinion than yours are "fragile mind",maybe you can accept that if it's not an issue, then why leaderboards? Also why multiplayer events? If you don't stand a chance in multi events because cheaters will get all the job done without efforts, then why should i participate if i don't stand a chance?
On my side, this simply screw all the game, that's why i returned to classic game where cheaters are banned, and where you can play competitions without such issues. The problem is EW is using multi, events and leaderboards as a feature to sell this game, but when you buy it, you realize this is not the case.
On my side, i bought this game because it was announced to get same kind of events as classic game, if EW announced it as a casual single player game, i would not have bought it. And i couldn't test it before like classic game. I am not upset because ig ot a few hours of fun playing single, so it's not a total mess from my point of view, though nothing keeps me playing after these few hours.
As Picsoul says, it's not an issue when you're starting your single player game, but in the end, it just kills the game, like all multi games with cheaters.
I guess that if you're so aggressive toward people thinking it's a problem, it's perhaps because you're also using such cheats....
LMAO..did not even realize I typed that.
Wildcard is the developer of another buggy, problem loaded game Ark:Survival Evolved..ie they are the poster children on how NOT to make or run games.
I had just gotten done posting to their games forum when I posted this so their studio name was still on my mind at the time.
