Saving Sommer's cornfields!

This mission is a bloody joke man, i have been stuck on this mission for hours. I have found only one fallow deer this whole time, i even found a need zone but it magically changed to a roe deer need zone!

I have stood down wind in a blind using the antler rattler and in the hours i have been stuck on this mission i have only seen roe deer, fox & boar!

At first i thought it was impossible as well. After some time doing tracking and marking around, i find it doable. I found that the fallows will eat around evening at 5++ and then make their way out to spreeberg border. Hope you down one soon

funny how this mission keeps coming up as an OMG topic ) you want to beat this thing? get to the southeast corner of the cornfields and call them in with antler rattlers and you will get this mission done.

I just completed it. It was a pain walking all the way there as I got killed by a rogue deer who kept attacking me from behind in the woods.

Anyway there is a large rock I found giving me good LOS to the fields and I was laying up on top of it and using the fallow caller and I finally saw a buck coming towards me after about 10 minutes of calling. I got him.

I then spent another 15 miutes calling and found that a doe had walked up behind me to about 10m away and I shot her.

It takes tiem and patience.

Deers will usually rest/eat only at the edges of those farms, so look there. I would also recommend to look for their need zones a bit outside of mission area and just take pot shots from opposite direction, making their bleed out timer long enough for them to run into mission area.

It's the same on the other map, Layton Lake District. Have to spot two coyotes in Mt Leviathan zone, few days and nothing. Just yesterday finally found one and rest zone of another one.

I remember Sommer's CornField Mission took awhile too but it's doable. Just check at random times.

Well finally done it after what must have been approximately 5 hours(real time).

Had four tents dotted around the area, fast traveled to eastern field tent, rested until 05:15, put down a blind and stood with my binoculars for about 15 in game minutes, all of a suddern a whole herd of them magically appeared out of no where!

First time i did this mission i was the same as you "where the hell are the fallows"? after a reinstall of the game (fresh windows install forgot to back up my saves) i was dreading this mission. again, like before i found myself wondering around the cornfields without a single track or call to go on. i went afk for a bio break and when i came back stood in front of me there was a whole herd of fallows with 2 big males!
They are there! you just have to be there at the right time of day and in the right spot, Antler rattler works well too, but you have to be in the vincinity of them due to the fairly short range.
walk a couple of hundred metres and use the rattler, wait for a few mins. if nothing go on another couple of hundred metres, rinse and repeat. good luck.

Planned this mission out pretty good. Came in with the wind in my favor from the South, first thing in the morning within ten minutes I bagged two fallow deer. Of course you have to be patient and to the slow/fast crawl walk. Glassed the field and saw a few Fallow deer.

Be quit and make sure the wind is in your favor. Don't forget you antler call twister.

I don't do many of the missions becasue of the bad press.

Every now and than I will give a mission a try. But mission do not make or break me;
