There is a bow perk that will allow you to fire your bow while prone.

Getting a Fox with a bow takes patience. I found a spot by a road that they frequented, hid in the bush and called them out into the open. Shot them on the road from the bush.

I just done this mission and dont think i could have done it without the 2 perks that lower the sound you make walking through bushes etc. Took me about 40 minutes after hearing a call. if you miss and it runs away still just keep on it following its tracks and using the caller and you will get there in the end :)

If you have the levels to get the below skills and perks; it might help.

The archery perk "like a pro" lets you enter aim mode while prone with a bow. The down side is there is no sight to aim by so you have to aim down the arrow & hope for the best. If you have the shooting range DLC, spend some time there shooting prone to get a feel for aiming.

The stalker skill "improvised blind" decreases your visibility in large bushes & shrubs.

The stalker skill Jake mentioned for reducing noise is "soft feet" and there are two levels. The first reduces the noise in leaves & grass. The second level reduces noise in large bushes and shrubs. These work the best when you use the crouch walk.

Probably the hardest animals to bow hunt are the fox, lynx, and coyote.

Sometimes they don't respond to the lure. I had to track this one the hard way:

Great job tracking that thing. You have way more patience than I do because I wouldn't have tracked that fox for half of that distance.

Luckily there's a test match on so I was really just listening to TMS - ordinarily I'd have ragequit and uninstalled. Only posted to show how asinine this mission can get.
