Anyone got a tip for Moose, spesifically anyboady know it's weak spot?
Hi been hunting with 270.
Does anybody know if the Moose species has a weak spot.
I got informed of the bisons weak spot. The hump. Love it
But I'm really struggeling with moose. Can't get a good lung vital, 270 doesn't seem to have the power captain.

Moose is one of, if not THE toughest animal in the game. I believe the codex shows it as level 4. Use the .338 or the Rhino .454 or the 600gr arrow as it was meant to be.

if you want it to go down instantly use the 338 and aim for neckbone and spine it should to the job same with 454

Nope.
I've used the big guns before.
I'm specifically trying to find out if they have a weak spot.

Spine(s) - thoracic and lumbar.

Cheers dude, I'll give it a go. I have tried for the spine before, but I only tried a few times, ended up constantly going for lungs.

Thay're tanks. I brain shot one with a 243 from behind. That worked but he still ran 50 yards after getting back on his feet.

No worries and if you're hunting with the 270, they may not drop instantly. Some great animations when they do, though. Also expect lots of 97-99% insta-kills just in case you miss that Diamond by 1 or 2 points! ;0

Spine or frontal heart shots.

Here's a great instant kill guide with pictures by Xi Law.

i've taken a moose with a .243 soft point (quick kill, spine shot) - I've killed a bison with bird shot. But that was for laughs. What's the point of using a .270 on moose?

I was using 7mm all the time. I got some advice on hunting bison. Tried the 270 and it worked.
Since then have switched to 270 Stradivaruis, but Moose are the only animal which just wont go down easily.
So Hoping there might be a magic weak spot. Still trying, nearly got the spine earlier.

mate as i said in the first post. I'm hunting with the 270 Stradivaruis. It's not hard to take down any of the animals with 7mm or the 338 as they are very accurate and powerful. That's why for ages the 7mm was my first choice for rifles. It's as good as it was in Classic where it's called the Stambecco
However after practice, I can say.
The heart, you hit the mooses heart and it wont last long. Not the easiest weak spot, but after practice and studying the animals internal organ position. It's getting easier.
