I dont know if people can or do play around with there own ones.
The game itself does look somewhat milky and grey at certain times of the day.
Your shots are fine. Love the squirrel!
Remember to hit Apply each time you increase the setting. I minimize the game, increase, hit Apply, then open the game back up and repeat until I'm satisfied with the color.

I just take a screenshot and that's it.
Just goes to show You learn something everyday ha ha lol.
the difference for me between vanilla game and reshade is like night and day. From a blurry, dull game environment to one that is much sharper and vibrant. I won't play without it.

Preset for The Hunter: Call Of The Wild
Created by chaza
Added May 10, 2017
Updated 11 May 08:00 CEST
Shader used: ReShade
Preset description: This Reshade 3.0 preset uses a combination of multiple shader effects and although I do not experience any performance degradation on my system, yours may vary. My aim was to enhance the game's sunlight effect and rework the color palette while at the same time improving texture details without sacrificing the shadows. You might have to adjust your Monitor / TV calibration's setting accordingly; as I created this preset with how mine is set up.
Programs Used:
Nvidia Control Panel (to force DSR factors)
Reshade v3.0.7
Activating Nvidia Control Panel DSR factors (assuming you run a 1080p native display):
1. Right Click on your Desktop and Select the NVIDIA Control Panel
2. Under 3D Settings, select "Manage 3D Settings"
3. Scroll down the list until you come upon "DSR Factors"
4. Activate both the 1.78x and 4.00x options. This will let you display the game's in either 1440p or 2160p (4k).
5. Finally select between 30% - 50% values under "DSR Smoothness". Personally I use 42.
RESHADE INSTALLATION GUIDE:
1. Download the latest Reshade from https://reshade.me/
2. Run the program and click on the "Select Game" option.
3. Navigate to and select your The Hunter: CoTW executable on the Steam folder.
4. Once selected, click on "Direct3D 10+" and let the program install all the files.
5. Download my preset from below. Be advised it comes as a .txt file. Which will not work on its own. Follow step 6 !!!.
6. IMPORTANT: Once downloaded go ahead and rename it to wathever you want with the extension ".ini". Example: "MyPreset.ini"
7. Now take that preset and move/copy it to the Steam folder where the game's executable is -From step 3 above.
8. Launch the game, press Shift + F2, follow the prompts and select the preset from the drop down list.
9. Continue following the prompts until the Preset goes live. Done!
CPU= Central Processing Unit, your Processor.
This ^ Got a friend who is lucky enough to play it at 4K and he does spot things a lot eaiser than me. That and the AA shimmer is pretty much gone.
Also the haze goes away a lot when you disable the Volume Fog.
