Gold Red Deer Mission

After playing nearly 12 hr for this mission, only saw three level-7 red deel, and I used 7mm and missed (0% fast kill). Is there any better way to finish this? Thank you!

Well, no. Those Lvl. 7 red deer would have probably been gold trophies. Next time, don't take a shot unless you're absolutely sure you can drop them on the spot.

Make sure to aim just behind the front shoulder and use polymer-tip bullets for a double lung shot. Oh, and unlock the red deer caller, if you haven't already. Not having the appropriate caller for a mission makes things unnecessarily difficult.

Doesn‘t the 7mm come with a penalty in scoring because its a level 3 weapon? I always thought the 270 is the right weapon for red deer.

7mm is the largest caliber that can be used to hunt red deer with full integrity.

go to jornsdorf lake there was the biggest herd of red deer i have ever seen there and time is 13:30 to 17:30

animal populations and need times are not the same for everyone. It's generated locally for each player. The only time it's shared is if one player joins another player's map, then the "guest" player is using the "hosting" player's populations.

EDIT: That said, there ARE some areas of the maps that are better or worse for some animals as a general rule. Bohndorf canyon is usually pretty good for red deer, for instance.

Saw 3 herds of red deer in the north area of Bohndorf near the lake next to the lookout as well. That area seems to be full of red deer any time I go there.

because im too used to 247, any rifle always go for spine shot. even 7mm i dont trust its bullet penetration for kill.haha

At this location, i have also had quite a few golds here between 5:00 and 9:00, there are at least three Red deer need zones around this lake.

Make sure to aim for either the spine or lung's for the instant kill bonus.

Here, just recorded this video for you, travel to this location and set the time to 05:00 they normally come around 6:00 - 6:30 ... Just wait, i was there for literally 1 minute when the below happened, also take note of my shot placement, use the 7MM with polymer tip bullets. I have a tent here permanently, this is my go to spot for hunting Red deer, need zones North, East & West.

No gold this time but you will 100% get one there ... I have had lots...

its lvl-7 red deer. make sure to get 100% score on integrity,quick kill & most importantly full consecutive harvest score before.
damm..i downed 2 lvl-7 red deer in 1 herd & forgot about consecutive harvest score because im too excited. a night to remember. haha
