There where so much of them that it was my most successfull hunt so far, 9 kills within an hour:

I've noticed this as well, overhunting an animal species in an area will often open it up for new species to use the areas for need zones which tends to draw more of them near the area.
Thank you kindly for helping me. Others just want to bash a person for having an opinion or feelings about something. But you showed me that you care and want others to have success. I appreciate that :-)
Pretty sure it will do this on its own too, as time passes animals need zones change in their own so you don't necessarily have to go out and overhunt an area, you can always just come back after a few days and it should have "refreshed" the area.
But, if you are looking for suggestions:
Call both Roe and Fallow (they seem to come together quite often).
Use the doe bleat (I know it's not meant for that map's species, but it works sometimes for me).
Are you using any backpack? If so - don't. They are simply too noisy (even when standing still).
If that doesn't work - call for something completely different, have some fun and wait and see what happens.
While searching for the actual PS corn fields, I did shoot a few in other fields (I know, doesn’t count – but it speaks to how many I saw).
I finally walked within the PS corn field region and it popped up on my screen. I crouched out into the center of it (where the tree line cuts through), got myself situated and called. Within 2 minutes I had a Fallow buck call back, brought him in and took him with a bow. Called a few more times, moved down to where the road cuts through the corn fields and another buck called. I called him in and took him with a bow. Grand total of 24 minutes from getting settled to last shot. (And I have vid-cap if you really want to see it.)
I know you don’t have to be in the center of the fields, but the position was nice and gave me a good view.
So either:
You’ve got a bug (could happen).
I was just extremely lucky (could happen).
You are just having a bad few days (could happen).
Or (and I mean this in all kindness) – your hunting style doesn’t match with this mission.
I did notice that there were NOT a lot of fallow deer out there, but as some have pointed out, missions are supposed to be difficult. (I don’t go by missions anymore, I simply pick what I’m going to hunt and have fun with it.)
