In same way like the other quests my suggestions:
- For a Heart shot allow ALL Weapons ( Not Bow only)
OR
- For a Bow Kill not limmit to Heart ... Allow hole body.
*
For a small limit Area not require a GOLD Kill. Maby say 2-3 Kills but not limit Rating.
OR
For a GOLD Requirment simply open up Area Limit to hole Subsection or hole LatonLake.
Again my result.... I like difficult quests that take 1-2 Hrs and some trys... But THIS is too much !
This particular level 4 bull was very cautious and did not want to move across open fields, instead returning back west, so I finally managed to lure him to the north of mission area and then into the area (unless it was different one, hard to say since I've seen tracks of at least two of the same weight range).
Even though I was luring this moose, at was the bull who stalked me at the end when I decided to come back north thinking moose did not follow again. We nearly bumped into each other. Hopefully, my bow was quick and precise, heart shot from slighly less than 9 meters!
Even better, this turned out to be my 50th moose! So in addition of completing DOC #20, I also got Steam achievement 'Long Live the King'
Anyway, my question is whether I should get the biggest arrows first before trying this mission (I already have the biggest bow). Considering how hard it is to get a heart shot, would the big arrows offer a significant advantage?
Yes the bigger arrows will help with penetration.
The mission is not that hard in reality, the moose are just fairly scarce. Like others have stated they are on the west side of the fairly small mission area. All of the moose i saw while doing the mission were of decent size, 3's and 4's the problem is getting the heart shot and the animal being a gold.
The best way is to let them come really close, under 30 or even 20 meters. Then aim for a heart - at such distance arrow will hit area above yellow pin but below a pin above yellow.
Watch centering, I missed a heart twice because arrow went to the left as I was paying too much attention to vertical aiming and missed pin tip going a bit sideway
