131 hours in and only level 34
not sure if this is normal pace, but i feel like xp is very slow coming now that i'm getting into the 30's. the xp doesn't really scale higher as you level higher, you just have to kill tons more animals. am i missing something? i've been doing as many side missions and story line missions as possible, and harvesting targets of oppurtunity as i go. on a typical night/playing session i'll bag anywhere between 4-10 animals. but tht's only maybe at best 100-200xp per kill.

get a llot of whitetail and blacktain females, and some level 2 level 3 bucks. moose offer a bit more xp, bears are better, more scarce, coyotes, are pretty scarce. should i just go farm elk/moose till a pink out the spots move on, just to level up? i really dont know how people got to 60 so quick.

250 hrs lvl 30-31, I think. I don't shoot female animals, just because. Unless piebald, or albino. I am in no hurry to lvl up. There is no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, so enjoy the ride.

If you have a purpose, then go for it.

Level 42 at 237h, progression is very slow in general and much more so at later levels. I shoot everything that moves, my buddy levels much slower only going for trophy animals. Makes sense I guess....

I just checked, I am at LV 51 with 237 hrs. I have given up on most of the missions and just doing my own thing. I am trying to open all the hunting blings in both preserves. I only have about 20 to go and they will all be opened. I prety much harvest what ever comes along. That being said I have no Diamonds but I do have several gold and some albinos. I do not use the scents as I do not fell they really help much.

I'm lvl 34 at 127 hours. I own all the weapons, ammo types and sights, binoculars etc. There are only a few more perks and skills that I actually want, and like you said, a few more items to unlock at lvl 37 although the moose caller is the only one I want to have, I never use scent sprays so I don't care for those. I'm not in any hurry to level up either.

Actually, bear and coyotes are not as scarce as you might think. I spent a month hunting nothing but bear, and I was taking a good 20+ a day. The trick is to find a set of tracks and follow it. You'd be surprised how many you will run into along the way. And when you do that you also find bear spawn points. There's nothing like jumping up on a rock to take out a bear, only to find 3 come in, and a frouth/fifth is roaming the woods behind you. (I've literally taken 8 in one spot before). Yeah... one of those things that sort of cheapens the game, but it can be quite fun as well.

Started a new account lately. On my first account it took me 260 hours to reach level 53.

201 hrs to lvl 60 found myself just walkin around a lot and looking for HUGE / HIGH scoring animals.Forget the score EW gives you, look at the trophy rating that is the true animal score.

Truracks and a better scoring would give us a 252..XXX not the flat whole number you get now. 0.o....

lot's of good feed back here. sounds like i'm on target and not really doing anything wrong. i will just cont to enjoy the game. i think mostly i just want more SKILL points, to flush out the ambusher tree a bit.

I do find that if i just head upwind and hunt what i run across i'm amazed at the amount of animals that come my way. just keep moving out of the supresion area.
