I raised rabbits commercially for two years and have hunted rabbits since childhood. Both domestic and wild rabbits do occasionally make distress sounds.

and does it sound the same as the ingame caller ??

Pretty close yes. Skip to around 2:10 to hear a distressed rabbit.

Yep, somebody was complaining on hear that the rabbit and fawn caller had the same sound. A rabbit and fawn sound pretty similar.

Here's a fawn call. Not the best but passable.

So, I have a friend that breeds rabbits and his wife was telling me that they have one that starts screaming if he so much as geets water on him. They do scream when frightened on injured.

When I used to shoot foxes professionally (Australia) we used a circular tin whistle that gave a really high pitched "squeal" way higher and longer than the ingame caller. You could almost say it was the "dying squeals" of a rabbit. We made it sound "sad" for want of a better word... (no, I'm serious)

This was night shooting and we zeroed at 75m. We could get them in that close and they'd just stand in the light as we drilled them through the eyeball.
