Would be nice to know - atleast approximates. (Like what does two white lines of noise mean when walking.. and is it "cool" until it goes red?... I dunno)
if you run they can hear you from very far away, if you slow down they sense you from alittle closer away, basicly the range is youre loudness meter.. its actually very easy to figure it out.. good luck
Yeah, starting to figure it out just from experience, now after 9 hours... but I'm still kinda at a loss if I should always just creep up very slowly while crouched if an animal makes the warning call or is otherwise somewhat near, but not near enough to make for a comfortable killshot.
The crouchwalk is painfully slow. Though, it is understandable.. moving quietly in the woods IS slow.
Don't forget that you can hold "shift" as a modifier to increase your speed slightly while crouched or prone.
and the game is way way easier than real...
try out stuff, and you get better and better
besides that a lot of hints have been given in the forums, and there are some good guides.
you need to do your research , it is a slow paced game and i love it beacuse of that, no atv for me
but tents , yes.
in the Hunter 101 videos, he shows some ranges for the white line and grey line. i noticed a completly different result when the animal was up wind.
so i'm looking for something concrete to base my decisions on. i dont want to spend HOURS trying to figure out how a "AI" works. this isn't real. in real life. an animal can't "SEE" you through hill sides regardless of if you are prone or full upright.
NOISE, is NOISE animals make noise to. walking in the brush doesn't mean all animals flee an area. i've seen fallow dear RUN off at over 200m+ from me crouch walking... wth. even if i'm masked in trees, small hills, etc.
i was just looking for what degree of "SOUND", the meter is indicating.
also, with Keyboard Mouse. it's FULL SPEED no speed. where as with controller you have analog degree's of walking speed.
i'm a KB/M player, though i've hooked up my xbox1 controller so i can "stalk" more effectivly. but the aim on that is ♥♥♥♥.
