is there snow and does it snow in this game

just curious, I've haven't ventured all the way into either of the maps, just wondering if it snows out there?

Do you see those snow covered mountain peeks in the videos/trailers and/or in pictures? Those aren't background vistas, you can actually hike up to those peeks in the game, and yes there is snow up there.

Not every mountain top has Wildlife, some do though. Mount Kraken has a decent moose, elk, and bear population based on what I've seen. Some high elevation areas don't have any wildlife aside from birds, but that could be due to the terrain. Its quite rocky with little vegetation or bodies of water.

Wildlife stop at the point you start "climbing" up any of the mountains. And, since you were speaking about snow - no animals make it to any of the snow lines on any of the mountains.

While you might be able to climb way up and SEE some snow around you, you can't actually HUNT in said snow.
