How to unlock more callers?
It shows levels of some sort, but what do I need to level?

You have to level your character. Just remember this is a "simulator" and in real life you have to level up. You can't just go to the store and buy callers that would be absurd.

Yeah, I get it. But, it should say what you need to level. Like rifles require, rifle levels. But thanks.

If you don't know your XP increases your level. Killing animals, building hunting stands, claiming outpost, going to lookouts, and checking out points of interest increases your XP. You'll be in for alot of gameplay to unlock all callers. I just hit level 26 today with like 148 hrs and I know I still got two callers locked. One thing I discovered today, you can see what's needed for next level by going to "M", codex, hunter, and selecting one of the first two options. I think it says hunter and hunter profile. It will give your current level and "what you have / what you need for next level".

I think I know what you are talking about as I have wondered the same thing, i.e., need a red deer caller, raise a level, still no gain in red deer caller.

My belief is that you have to gain skill, in the skill, that you want to gain skill.(I hope that's readable.) In the example above that would mean killing Red Deer to gain caller points.

I dont think it works that way. yesterday I leveled up and unlocked a Wild Boar Caller. I havent shot a single boar since I started playing this game. I havent even seen one.

maybe it is related to the use of the callers, like the weapons points, but its just a guess

callers are unlocked at certain levels, pure and simple like moose caller for me is at level 35, whats so hard to understand about that?

I hope that was sarcasm, LOL if you have the money and walk into a sporting good store, you can buy any lures you want. It's the only real thing I hate about the game. scents and callers should not be level based.

Exactly, it is just another artificial handicap from arcade ancestry of gaming, totally unrealistic
Caller's availability should have been tied to call identification, something like 'identify 100 moose mating calls to learn how to use moose caller'

I like that, although they may have to rework the entire system to make something like that work. Still, I would have liked to have seen that last Feb..:steamhappy:
