Walk, Run or Sneak?
When you find animals' track, and you want to chase it, what should you do?

I know walking and running is noisy but they are fast, and moreover you can't really tell how old the treck is, so if you choose stealth then maybe the animal would run away.

So walk, run or sneak?
And what should you do while walking or running or sneaking? Using a binocular or just watching out for nearby bushes?

I personaly only use tracks to know animals are in the area. Examining animal droppings will give you an idea about the age of the tracks.

I usually walk or run until I get a warning call. Immediately go to crouch, use a caller if you have it. If not then sneak towards the call with Binos in hand. Binos can help to find animals that you would normally miss, not due to zoom but because of the "Spot Animal" function.

If you have trouble finding the animal after a few minutes, don't be afraid to stand up and walk a few steps. This will often get you another warning call and you may find you are alot closer than you thought. Stop and listen for footsteps and rustling brush.

Like Raz just said calls are basicly youre quoues as to what stealth mode you should be in,

if you run and hear a call stop running, no need to crouch straight away, just walk closer to the call

and then another call will come then crouch and creep at a fast pace, another call will come then you should slow down or stop and use caller,

if you dont use caller creep closer until another call comes, now's the time to go prone,

at prone crawl at high speed closer to the animal now when you hear a call you should stop completely and start looking around, you can get up on youre knee but, dont move anymore just look around and ready youre weapon. I think you know what to do next :)

a tip: watch youre visibility meter when you are at the closest spot staying in bushes or trees will make the visibilty meter very small just grey small line, thats the perfect spot if an eye appear youre completly visible

All animals have calls, but some not, if you spot an animals you will see its difficulty rating, the more difficult ones dont call at all. more difficult animals have better payoffs naturally but alot harder to find because they dont bother to let you know about them ;) so good luck out there how to aproach those harder animals is totally up to you

Another hint: If tou DO hear footsteps or brush moving the animal is very close. Go into "AIM" mode and face the sound. If you have a scope mounted, you may want to use center mouse button. (Toggles between scope or no scope.) It can be hard to acquire a target from close range with a scope and you may only have seconds to get off a shot before the animal spots you and spooks.

I happened to lure a deer into me yesterday, used rifle just in time.

There is a "toggle on scope" option in settings, so turning it on eliminates the need to use mice middle button.
But the rifle...man, I bet it's zoom sensitivity is below 10, extremely hard to shot in close range.

I think it's best for 2 people to hunt, 1 to lure the animal and another use sniper rifle at long range.

Dont use scope at close range :) the middle mouse button switches the scope on and off for me..
