ATV auto center camera, why?

I wish we had the option to move the camera around while on the ATV without it automatically moving back to the center position. When I drive around, I look around (well try too) and look for animals or just enjoy the environment, but it's a pain to constantly battle the auto center camera that the devs have implemented. Can we get the option to turn it off? Thanks

Third person, or First? First person driving doesn't have auto center, Third person does.

which brings us to the next Q, how do you switch between the two?

I'm in third person perspective on a controller. Down on the D-Pad to switch.

I wish 3rd person had free camera control.

Switching camera is set to "C" by default, if you use a keyboard. you can look up all key-bindings concerning the ATV in the kodex.

I use 'C' for 'auto walk', but even resetting to defaults didn't do anything regarding freelook for some reason?! it did however let me change between 1st and 3rd while driving.

But I couldn't find anything re. auto pos on/off?

I like it too, but it needs free cam control options, or at the very least it should delay the "auto center" a couple seconds. While I'm driving and want to look to the left or right, the game gives me a split second to look before it recenters the camera. This is the only thing I don't like about the current ATV design.

Question: what is your definition of auto center?

When I drive, I can look around where ever I want, but the game automatically returns the camera to its original position (auto center), free cam won't do this.

Free cam IS no auto center, free cam allows you to look in any direction you want, and doesn't return the camera back to looking forward automatically. It stays in the direction you faced the camera.

When you drive the ATV and look left or right, does it stay that way? or does your camera automatically return to looking in the direction your driving?

Yuppers, any direction I choose to look at, it'll stay in that direction.

Thus, I call it freelook... whatever, but yeah

I just tried it on a different PC, all of a sudden I have free aim, the only difference is I'm now using KB/mouse. I don't have a controller here at the moment, I'm starting to think that maybe having a controller plugged in automatically enables auto center even if you don't use the controller. If that's the case then that sucks because I WANT auto center disabled when I use a controller. Further testing needs to be done here.
