Proper sneaking functionality has been added for keyboard users so this is no longer necessary. Unless you are trying to accomplish something else?

where is this because i am not aware of it. i struggle to get close to the animals the way it is which is why i'm looking to do what the video does.

It was introduced in Patch 1.2. Patch notes found HERE

Changed default speeds for crouch and prone to be slower (use “run” keybind to move faster)

that hasn't helped me at all. i don't know about others but that's not a fix for me. the video is a proper fix.

The "video" has the exact same end result. You move slower.

i've never been able to do what he did in the video which was hunt an animal without making noise and actually get that close without scaring it away.

also i've already downloaded autohot key and the script and i can clearly see the difference (especially when page up and down change the sneaking speed). the game doesn't even have built in sneaking speed other than crouch, walk and run. whereas with the script i get speed adjustment for both crouching and walking (which again the game doesn't even have built in).

"(use “run” keybind to move faster)" by default it moves slow and quiet.

Have you thought about him having noth the soft feet unlocked as well as he maybe on grass and your in the woods on leaves. Far more variables to consider than just movement speed. He may have scent eliminator and you dont , he may be using the wind to his advantage and you dont . To simply put it down to movement speed is not gonna solve anything there are many other factors to consider. i have had animals almost run me over and im not using any macro . i would suggest researching the above mentioned things that can affect spooking them.
