Tobii Eye Tracker 4C users?
Did anyone try this game with the Tobii Eye Tracker 4C? I would like to read some impressions and if it increases the immersion.

I only know of one person that has it and they hate it, very very slow to react compared to track ir was their main verdict.

Interesting... there is not much information about it around. Thanks for the feedback.

i know, funnily enough i searched it on youtube yesterday after speaking to this fella. Tbh i cant see how it works any better than the "no-ir" software you can get free and a very good quality webcam and lighting. As i stated tho dont have it myself so would be interested to know others opinions and what you come across in your searching to. The one claim they appear to have is the cost difference, ok track ir isnt cheap but no that much more than tobii.

The Tobii Eye Tracker is 150.00 US. I have had it for a while now. I havent really used it much with this game. Have only played 20+hrs. What I have used it I like it. Immersion wise, dont think it makes a world of difference in my opinion. Other games however such as Elite Dangerous, it makes a world of difference. the 4C does eye tracking and head tracking both together. Also no wires other than the cable going from your PC to the control bar on your monitor. It is also fairly easy to setup. Biggest draw back that I can even think of is game support. The title list that supports it is rather small at the moment. From my understanding the game has to have the support software designed into the game. Not sure if there is a 3rd party software out there yet. Anyhow that is a quick run down.

Thanks Bruin, just out of interest have you ever tried track ir? I must admit i cant see how the head and eye can be tracked seperatly to any advantage into a game on a screen. i do have track ir and alot of the time unless on a flying sim or slow driving sim (ie truck sim, for racing games its rly not an "advantage" to me) i dont find the extra movement helps. more often than not im trying to keep my head still other than when looking around. As for third party software one of the vids i was watching yesterday (by scott manly, clever guy) was talking about elite dangerouse and lack of suport for it i think he said the standard FaceTrackNoIR software worked nicely with it and he was using it in the vid.

I haven't tried the TrackIr. The price tag and the bonus of nothing on my head was the deciding factor. This is actually my 1st eye tracking/ head tracking equipment I have ever used so don't have anything to compare it to. With that said though, I do find the tracking to be pretty good. I use 3 monitors so it is a big advantage or bonus to have the tracking. Immeadiately noticed the difference in playing Elite Dangerous. Not so much in CotW though. I could go either way in this game. I use it in Farming Simulator as well. It is an immersion thing in that game though. Nothing more. Makes it easier when driving around in 1st person. ObsidianAnt, on YouTube, did a few videos using the 4C in Elite Dangerous. That is how I found out about it. The 4C is relatively still new. Was only released back in late November I think. Ultimately I am glad I did buy it. The games it does support I like the "feel" of it. However I will probably get the TrackIr at somepoint as well.

Its deffinetly well worth a go, id love to try 4C for the same reason, without trying both cant judge fairly can we lol I also have 3 monitors, which as you know im sure is also something not all games like lol Completely agree with your overall opinion though, kind of identical to mine, farming sim etc. great. Cant drive those type of slow sims in first personaly comfortably without now. Have you tried it on racing sims yet? sure youl find the same as me there to. Realisticaly once we all have realy good vr these convos will be a thing of the past wont they.

Lol yep, once a decent and affordable VR set comes out this will all be moot lol. I haven't tried any racing sims with it. Don't actually own one. Most my games I play now are pretty much low stress games to just chill out in. Unless of course I feel like like getting frustrated with that "Family Picture" and try that out again lol.

How the head tracking works in this game? That is my main question.
Llogeyr Mar 6, 2017 @ 4:14pm
Well the eye tracking is exactly what it says it says. You move your eyes and the camera follows. The head tracking is more abrupt movements. Think of it like fine tuning. You want to look to your left you look to your left. You want to see a specific spot you look at that spot with your eyes not only turning your head. Like I said earlier though I have not used it that long in this game.

I just found out a little while ago it works in hunter classic as well.
