there is only 1 hunting stand in windmills,
but i use .243 with many scopes and tried many times, but all failed....

its a bug or I do something wrong?

I haven't done that one, but I noticed in another quest when they said hunting stand they meant tower not blind.

yeah, there r 1 tower + 1 ground blind, i tried in tower but it didnt work:(

Once I can complete Jäger#4 (you lucky turds!) I'll give it a shot. We shouldn't class it as a bug just yet. Maybe try the .30-30 for the fallow as that's the best gun to use for them. It's 24k and the scope is also 24k. Seems like a pretty expensive risk lmao.

Still haven't done this one, but I have a suggestion. (I only do missions once in a while.) Have you tried with bow, pistol, or shotgun?

Bug must be fixed I just passed it. I was in the hunting stand at 7387,10799. The problem that plagued me was hitting the stand instead of the target. so annoying.

I'm not sure if this is still relevant but I just completed it building the hunting stand close to the mills (make sure to click the sign about the mills to "discover" the area), and then shooting down a poor deer passing by and harvesting her.

It doesn't have to be a fallow deer. It can be any animal. I've completed it several times in the past by killing a Fox or a Roe deer by shooting from the pay ti build elevated stand near the windmills. The mission is to harvest an animal with a scoped weapon from a hunting stand etc... It does have to be done from the pay to build stand near the windmills and not the ground blind that's down below the windmill area. Some missions require the animal to be within the mission area boundary when harvested and some don't. Passing the harvest check is not required for this mission so I've used the 30.06 with the scope attached on whatever species entered the mission area. Generally a fox or roe have died in place and fallow have dropped after running only a short distance, if it moved at all, after being hit. I get right up against the wood of a window on the stand and one step away from window border on my right before shooting so the stand doesn't block my shot. Shooting out the back window of any pay to build elevated stand has been a sure way to have my shot blocked and if the animal is really close to the stand it's best to wait until it's bit further away before attempting the shot. The most recent time I've completed this mission was just before the medals being awarded was glitched back in March. You might have encountered a new bug. Lastly, for some missions it helps if you have selected the mission to be your active one shown on the hunters mate. Sorry about the length of this, just wanted to be clear about how and why I've been able to complete the mission in the past.

For those curious, it has to be a bought "Hunting Stand" the green question mark stoplight things on the map, I tried with a blind, tripod and a treestand for a lot of kills and it never registered until I bought the building.

Jager 5 can be competed by harvesting any animal (not just Fallow). The day before the last update I completed this mission by killing a fox from the "pay to build" tower blind located by the Windmills. I used the .243 adorned with the 1x4 scope. Perhaps the mission now requires a Fallow, but it never has before. This is one of those missions where you lose money by completing it since the reward is less than the cost to build the stand. It's important to remember that both the hunter and the prey have to be within the mission area at the time it is first hit, the hunter has to be in the pay to build tower stand when he shoots the animal AND the animal has to die within the mission area. So if you wound it and it dies outside the mission area it won't count towards completing the mission.

There are some missions in this game where it doesn't matter where the animal dies as long as the first time it was first hit, both the animal and the hunter were within the mission area. Jager 5 is not one of those.
