Sometimes it simply won't let me hit apply until I restart the game, I have no idea why. See if that works for you.

change it from the settings file on documents/avalanche studios bla bla bla

yea i did but you should not have to go into files to change resolution, this needs to be fixed as it is quite nasty thing to be dealing with

turns out you have to click 'resolution' and not the actual apply option.

Good to know, i was struggling with 1920x1080. I also demolished a mouse on clicking Apply. Should be an easy fix for a developer

You would think so, seeing this has been fixed once before. Somehow, they seem to break things they already fixed.

I think this is due to COTW not having a good revision control on their main program. i have seen this as well, something is fixed then an update hits and the old problem resurfaces. my guess is they have mulitple versions of the master file and no control over which one is the latest revision. a developer will grab what he thinks is the latest rev and work on that. but it turns out to be an older version.
a basic Quality system would correct that there. they should only be allowed to use one master program for any edits and then once they are done, replace the older one with the revised one. but this seems to be not happening. this is a basic rule in document control, you are only allowed to access one program, which will be the latest. all others are stored in archive files.
75K a year and relocation costs and i will be more than happy to come fix this problem and your bug issues....thats a bargin COTW :)

It gets a bit bugged out after you've left the main menu for a while. Seems to always work correctly for me when I'm not actually in a session.
