Audio clues are integral to some species and it's not going to be even remotely enjoyable if I can't hear anything for hours with volume on 3 after spending 2 hours setting up a hunt.
You miss the entire point of my post, that's exactly the issue - there's too much, because it comes for 3 min intervals, goes away, and then is back again. There is no constant.
You also, hurricane simulator, can go to an outpost and rest, and skip past it. Again, here is the problem, because it's not a day full of rain, it's all over the damn place.
Plus, the game has perks built around weather, which makes ZERO sense with how it currently functions.
Yep. I prefer LR so I have visibility bias here. As I do in RL, I simply don't go shooting when it's raining heavily and I defintely don't when there's storms.
I could live with half a day of rain, when thereafter I would get a couple of dry days (be it sunny or cast over). That said, I enjoy your efforts a lot and am hoping for support on this matter! Kindly yours, ltdlima83.
I started this weekend with my Lets Plays and 70% of the time is raining and storming. The noise is extrem. Playing on Hirschfelden. I really enjoy a good thunderstorm and sometimes the strong with together with the rain lets me shiver in real life but it's just way too often.
In my opinion, rain events that last 30 to 45 real time minutes would be more agreeable. Maybe not 'all day', but certainly not 2 minutes of sprinkles, a 30 second downpour, 2 more minutes of on off sprinkles, and a parting thunderclap.
Granted, what would be REALLY nice in the weather system is to actually have a logical map of a weather pattern that crawls across the reserve. Where you can see a storm cell dumping rain in the northwest corner, and you've got clear or overcast near you. But I wouldn't expect a complex sub-simulation like that for a game like this.
But I can definitely see increasing the event times for things like fog, rain, overcast, storms, etc. Those can probably be plugged into a table and altered. Heck, an option to tweak them would be nice. Smooth out player arguments on it too.
