I have the 3 pin sight and it is way off. I tried it at the lodge on the sign and at 30 m it misses the whole sign ! Any help here ????

Bows have some (stupid) random Scatter maybe thats your problem?
Yohaskan Mar 2, 2017 @ 7:12am
The 3rd pin is calibrated to aim beyond 120m
Or it's just another bug ...

Ye bows have random spread. You can decrease it if you get a perk in archery, but it doesn't make you 100% accurate, cause I still missed really easy shots from under 20m... It pisses me off so much since I used to mainly bow hunt in theHunter...

Sure. but with the range meter,
In my test on a Outpost door, I have 8.8 m, 20 m, and .... i never able to aim correctly my target with the 3th pin.

Or is the range meter is buged?
maybe...
When i shoot a species with my rifle and measure distance with the range meter. I noticed a difference of about 10 m on the score card, compared to what I had measured.

With the 50k bow i get this:

2nd pin - 30m

3rd pin - 60m

When i tested the accuracy i shot 10 arrows on each pin.
And guess what? I have the exactly same vertical drop on all 10 arrows.
If there are any spred at all on the horizonal scale it's so small that even with a lung shot you shouldn't miss the animal at all. So in my mind the acccuracy is 100% even without the perk.
Since i only have 1 point in total into bow so faar.

The only issue is to find the correct range on kills.

They dont really. They have fatigue however. The longer you aim the worse your aim will be. You need to pull the bow up and fire, its plenty accurate.

Do you mean the arm wobble? Obviously the part you aim with moves when keep the bow up.
Or do you mean that in addition to this wobble, the arrow will possibly hit further away from where your sight was pointed at?

In addition to normal sight wobble, the longer you hold your bow drawn "fatigue" sets in and makes it so that your shot is innacurate, eventually leading to (according to the codex) releasing the arrow without you firing. The more fatigue the less accurate your arrow will be.

I dont think they mean any specific meter count, because when you add a Bow Perk that increase the strengh for example, those ranges will change, cant be 100% sure on this, but i did noticed i had to aim lower after getting those perks, but then again cant be sure without some proper testing.

Keep in mind the wind direction effects even short range shots if the wind is strong and the shot is 50m you should probably aim above the head/rear of the animal for a lung shot.

Which doesnt make sense tbh. An arrow traveling at say 351 fps, isn't going to be hit by the wind THAT hard. My RL Stinger X compound shoots at 350+ and in the wind with a carbon arrow with a broadhead tip, the deviation just isn't that serious. Its really odd that they implemented this.

Old Hunter Classic bow mechanics please.

No, its not always.

Bow accuracy:
1. open bow fatigue - perk
2. aim wobble - perk
3. breath wobble - perk
4. windage - active perk
5. random offset fix - perk
6. v1.11 new random scatter - no perk to improve it.... I missed even in 10m hipshot, its over the sum of above 1.~5.

6. must be remove or restore to v1.0, it didnt make sense to pay perk point and get random scatter to a unknown new reason....

or maybe v3.0 we get new perk to reduce this v1.11 random scatter, then we get a 7. new random weather scatter?.... its stupid!

remove additional scatter!!
