The wind was perfect and i came very close, but it was impossible to sneak close enough.
Sure i could wait somewhere silently for hours hoping he is coming its way....but well....
Spreeburg is a difficult place for this mission...
They really....i mean really won't come if your scent is flowing towards them.
Head to the western portion past the lake at around 5am.
Find fox calls, get close enough for a warning, find pine tree with nice sight ranges and that makes you "invisible" (faint grey bar), wait till you have a close straight on shot, f$*king pray for a bit, harvest.
I took 3 hours to stalk one. About halfway through I was about 5 feet away in a shrub and shot a branch that was in my face, so pro tip: don't hit a branch. They are everywhere when you don't want them but god forbid you just want one.... good luck all!
Then I went back to hunting fox:

So yeah, not easy.
I think most people have trouble with Fox is they are to impatient. The average time to get a fox into a call from a solid downwind hide is about 10 min or so and most people just don't want to wait.
I just started Hirschfeldenand fox like coyote to be pretty easy to hunt.
