need zones aren't all equal and sometimes animals use different ones so.. maybe

Just got done doing this Mission. I may have gotten lucky but I found them South of the Mount Kraken Outpost by very slowly creeping through the swamps near the river.

Area marked with the waypoint.

I have been trying for days for this mission. Well done there.

I completed it about an hour ago, was about 25 yards from one bear, took a pic (never saw the 2nd bear...) and it registered.

I have gone to the waypoint, so far have only seen one bear there, it must be luck trying to get two at once, also is there an outpost nearby there? I am having to walk all the way from near hope to get there everytime lol.

You should see the cabin above the waypoint a little bit further up, at the deer stand, also, i think this quest should be higher level to get tho, when you have the caller. Havent been able myself to find 2 bears and been running around for hours. :( .

i'm not sure why they decided to gum up the mission works with this overly RNG based mission. i can't progress further with the missions because i haven't been able to do this one or the other one which is to kill a male whitetail deer for Gold or better. I have killed all kinds of whitetail deer all over the map but none Gold so far. Gold seems to be hard to come by. I only have 4-5 so far and none are whitetails.

First of all how to recognize the gold one - with this no rack variety it is really confusing.

Any tips for 2 bears on one photo-mission?
Sorry guys, just been unlucky for some hours now and hoping maybe one of you has a hint for me how to get two bears on the picture..
thanks a lot!

Look for a rest, need or drink zone for the bear. That'll be the best you can really do. Most bears I see are max 2 in a group, never seen more then that so good luck.

Take random pictures when you see a bear call. You don't need to actually see the bears, the game just needs to know they're in the direction you're facing.

in the main, that dosnt work even if you have both bears spotted, you have to be close to the bears too <30m

edit:
e.g.
wont work:

I went to the Soutwest corner to the lake in Roonache. From the lookout tower I went west and I sat on the cliffs on the eastside of the lake and looked down and took pictures of the bears, I had to zoom in but I was over 100 meters away and that worked for me. If it doesn't work I saw about 6 bears down by the lake so there is plenty of opertunity to sneak closer. I believe it was around 10 am time frame.

edit for clarification: There is also a bear need zone 0730-11am south end of lake

The picture below is what worked for me, one bear went into the trees so hard to see the second one.

That seems like pretty good advice chasem75. I will try that.

I went hunting for 2 bears last night. But I keep shooting the first one I saw dead.
Old habits are hard to break.

The Balmont Train Bridge area, there is a Bear need zone right off the tracks at the eastern end of the bridge, and a Big rock that you can get up on, just wait there, they will come and be very close as well.
