2. Set everything else to Ultra.
3. Use NVIDIA DSR to downsample from a higher resolution (like 2560x1440 if you have a 1080p monitor)
Edit: It was easiest than I thought, just applied the DRS, and works fine :D
How about letting me in on it? I can't figure it out either lol. Do I go into the game first, or?
I really dont understand how can ppl play at 1080p with all that "shimmering and flickering" in distance. You cant even see if there is animal or it is just some flickering foliage.
Are you sure that shimmering effect is the product of a relatively low resolution?
I stopped playing cause of the shimmering and the flickering. Its a really wonderful game but has the worst anti-aliasing I have ever experienced in a game. I play on a 1080p monitor with a 980 and alot of people I know have the same issue, I tried DSR but that only helped a little.
For hunting games in general you usually want to keep the foliage (trees, bushes, grass, etc) settings low and draw distance settings high so it allows you to see very far.
Hunting games are not very hard for any video card to run because there usually isn't a lot of motion for the card to render since...it's hunting. You're sitting fairly still for hours waiting for something in the background, an animal, to move and catch your eye. Hunting games are not anywhere near as demanding as an FPS or RPG game.
Turning on all graphics settings makes more foliage visible as well as more fog. If you like it, go for it. If not, turn scene complexity to medium and volumetric fog off.
