How do I put ammo back in my rifle?

I have it in my backpack at the cache, for some reason it won't move over to my gun?

bring up your inventory.

click on the icon of the gun in the the relivent slot (number 0-9).

then in the menu in the top right for the gun click on the icon of the ammo you want to use.

no problem.

BTW: for sights when you get new ones, you do much the same thing, though if you only have two sights there just select the one you want as the primery, you can then use the middle mouse button to toggle from scope to iron sights.

Oh, very nice, thanks for sharing! I keep having problems with the game crashing at the minute, it's like every 10 mins and when I go into a new area, getting so frustrating :-(

If you're on PC, type F2 than select ammo, than drag the ammo for the weapon with your mouse all the way over onto the weapon it fits.

If it's the right ammo for that weapon the weapon alot icon will highlight, and when you drag the ammo onto it you will see the ammo icon show up next to the gun-sight slot.


If you're not placing the right ammo in your inventory than you won't be seeing any of those options.
