no but seriously, missions are bugging out a lot. it's annoying.
I had taken well over 30 photos, and more than one of each footstep and the cloth hanging in the tree. Never got any further - and had loads of steam screenshots of the ground.
As soon as I tested what you just said - took a photo and HELD the mouse button in it registered.

Hold Right mousebutton while taking photo of the 1st track
Before was first track on grass and on..
