As example: Some are pissed that they can't get anything they want by throwing cash at it like they can in theHunter (progression curves are scary). Some are pissed on missing "features" like tree stands. Some are pissed that you reduce noise by a skill system instead of buying boots for $10.
Their are countless of bugs at the moment. A lot of people experience crashes, glitches and bugs.
theHunter (Original/Classic) and Call of the Wild are very similar. The main difference is the price model. In Original, you buy a subscription and the weapons/tools you want to use with real-world $. In Call of the Wild, you pay the $30 to buy the game, and everything else is paid for in-game with in-game currency that you earn by hunting (or completing the frequent random quests [Even in multiplayer!])
The graphics in CotW (call of the wild) are incredible. The sounds are amazing!
However, they are still working on fixing it and implementing features.
This is better than theHunter Classic in everyway and I liked theHunter Classic - I have over 200 hours in it even. The menus are clunky, but that'll be fixed soon. It's no reason to give it a negative review. As for people with framerate issues they must have done something stupid to their system because I'm running it smoothly with an old i7-4770k and a 1070 GTX.
short of it is Steam reviews are worthless - don't pay attention to them. There are loads of games I've bought and really liked that have mixed or even negative ratings.
My system is same as yours, only running a 3770k ... Though I doubt it would have an impact on my system FPS
Thing is, I kinda like the "Cablea" look to it if that makes sense?? And the Skill Tree just adds to the "RPG" factor of it, making killing things actually worth while and it seems like you will feel that you are progressing towards something.
Correct me if I am wrong here
But not throwing real cash is kind of a good thing?? And having to unlock it via a skill tree makes hunting just worth while .... Have they not played RPG games before??
If you want a skill or Ult skill for a certain Hero, you usually just grind your way towards it?? Just like in this game .... its not something to be negative about??
Not wrong at all! I'm really enjoying it for those reasons. Incentives to play and a progressive feel to it make me want to continue.
Seem that some people believe it takes away from realism. Having different outfits to reduce noise is more real than having a skill system (while in reality they're just two different systems to achieve the same thing).
And many people want a "pure" hunting simulator without the "game"-element I believe, thus they don't like progression curves.
There are some who have put a lot of real money in Classic and now fear that COTW will make it obsolete.
There are some who are too stingy to put real money in Classic and are now miffed that they don't get all the fancy Classic 'hardcore' stuff for cheap. (competitions, true individual trophy antlers, statistics etc.)
And there are the usual steam idiots of course.
In Classic, they didn't have all those features at first. This game has been out for 30 hours. Give the devs time to add in features. What matters most is the "core" game is playable.

There is a scoreboard for your steam friends. Codex-->Hunter--> Leaderboards.
An individual table per animal with the best scores of all your friends on steam who play the game. So what you're claiming is actually completely false.
There are Personal stats, Leaderboards, and a Hunt History.
For Personal Stats go to: Codex/Hunter/Hunting Profile.
For leaderboards got to: Codex/Hunter/Leaderboards.
For Hunt history got to: Codex/Hunting Log/History.
