No vehicles?

Hello all,

Just curious!
After watching a lot of videos and streams of the game I like what I see but sadly no money right now to buy it. So it has to wait but I got a question, where are the vehicles in the game? I know the map is not that big compared to others like DayZ etc but I thought the hunter games allowed for a keep or ATV..:

There's never been vehicles in either of thehunter games. It's a highly requested feature though and has been for a long time.

There's never been vehicles in either of thehunter games. It's a highly requested feature though and has been for a long time.

I beg to differ.... I've played a hunting game exactly like this that had a jeep you could drive around. I swear it was this company.... it also had an ATV

Well I have almost 700 hours on classic on steam and I can assure you, there are no vehicles in thehunter classic xD I've followed cotw since it's announcement and participated in the beta and there have never been any vehicles. Those are the only two games in thehunter series ^^

Was it deer hunter? i never played it but i know it was similar to thehunter and could have had vehicles

No vehicles have ever been in a theHunter game, Classic or otherwise, as far as I know.

Thats another developer, a entirely different series of games. You cant compare them with who have what kind of equipment.

But yes, Deer Hunter series have had ATVs etc, the hunter classic never had anything like that though

Right okay, that I did not know was from a different developer but now I do, so thank you for that.

I think this game would benefit from a jeep to drive up mountain paths or an ATV to go across country on long distances.

Don't listen to jerky. Go ahead and look up the threads he started in the forums and decide for yourself if he sounds like a rational, mature adult you should take advice from. There are plenty of threads here with reasonable, intelligent people giving honest feedback that will give you a good idea of what's currently good about the game and what issues there are that need fixing.

A vehicle would be fun and would fit with the map size but at the moment I'd rather they focus elsewhere. The fast travel system works fine for the moment.

Yeah I thought so which is why my reply was short and confusing.. Steam forums are full of users like himself so it is no surprise... I just wish we could clense the Internet of these type of people who bring down soceity

i would love to see atleast an ATV to travel around and doing the exploring..afterall that`s how hunters usually move around and the loooong walking between outposts is just silly. and if you don`t like it then you can simply do it the way it is now...freedom of choise

The game needs more "fast travel" locations within each hunting zone maybe 3-4 per area, or maybe the ability to use a hunt camp ATV or something.

Each zone is so vast, rocky, and the brush so thick, it takes forever to get where you want to go even AFTER you fast travel (only 1 fast travel point per zone right now) into an area.

If you're thinking of sitting down and just spending an hour or an hour and a half playing this game you're going to become frustrated because you're having difficulty completing the side missions and put the game up after a short while. In TheHunter: Classic at least you could buy and drop tents to fast travel if you needed no such luck in this one.
