Just make callers, etc cheaper, add a SAVE option, lastly include an auto walk that autimatically follows the right roads to get to a point - similar to FarCry 4 auto drive option.
I have suckered myself into building a couple, really disappointed I did, especially ground blind. The worst part is I don't know which ones I built. Except one ground blind near Mt. Kraken outpost. After you walk by them, they all look the same on map. No difference between ones to be built, and ones already built.
huh what you want a walk sim....wrong game here you dont auto run here you hunt.
the second is a different image for a hunting structure that was constructed.
All I can advise is to check out the surrounding area. If it is located good with decent animal sign around it and good visibilty then it is probably a good investment.
If you build them they do give xp which will help you level quicker to get more perks, skills, and open up goodies from the outpost to buy.
If I had little money and had to choose between Polytip Ammo or the Stand/Blind I would buy the ammo.
I know this is not a solid answer but it is just a judgement call on your part.
They're completely useless. When you aren't in a tower, animals don't spook easily enough... and so when you get into a tower, it doesn't feel like it offers any real cover advantage. It does give a line of sight advantage, but you also can't shoot crouched or prone, and the animals get sline of sighted when it gets close to the tower.
So yeh.. the main advantages of a tower irl are cover, line of sight and a stable surface to rest your gun on. In the game, the extra cover is made irrelevant, you can't rest your gun on the railing... all you get is better line of sight (and you don't get this at all with blinds, only towers) which isn't really worth waiting for 30 minutes to an hour real time for an animal to show up.
My advice is to only use structures when there's a need zone in it's line of sight... that's if you're looking for an excuse to use one... but really, you could just sit in a bush next to the need zone with scent eliminator and you'll do just fine lol.
EDIT - oh, and I forgot to mention the most important part. Considering there's virtually no advantage to using structures, they're certainly not worth the cost to build.
What I do, instead, is buy tripods and treestands (but, really, only tripods, because the free treestands I got with the DLC are plenty, and the tripods are much more flexible [can be placed in open fields, for instance]). The tripod (after the 3 or 4 free ones you get with the DLC) cost $16,000 per stand, which is roughly 8 times more $$$ than the fixed stands; but, IMHO, is the better buy. The tripod can be used to farm all 8 of those fixed locations, and more, ~AND~ can be placed EXACTLY where you want them in each location, and that location tweaked, if need be.
The tent + tripod combo costs a bunch (16k + 16k = 32k), but is extremely powerful. The tent allows insta-travel around the map to tripod locations, and the tripod keeps you hidden and protected while you ambush hunt those need zones. I guess that is why the game limits you to 16 tents per map.
So if there si a good need zone nearby build them.
