I’m Cyril, from the Yarnhub team. For our first community post, I wanted to tell you how we ended up here.

While developing Brass Rain, we were exploring something that matters deeply to us: getting players to work together. Many of the stories we tell at Yarnhub are about people relying on each other. We wanted players to experience some of that connection for themselves.

Someone had to drive. Someone had to load the gun. Everyone had an opinion about what everyone else was doing wrong.

We kept playing. We kept laughing. And we kept pushing the idea further, until we felt it deserved a game of its own.

That became Stupid Tankers. Even the name came out of our office playtests. You can probably imagine how.

The mission sounds simple: get your German tank from the factory to the Eastern Front. Keeping it running, and getting your friends to cooperate, is where things become interesting.

What excites me most is the possibility of a moment you’ll still be talking about after you’ve stopped playing. The terrible shortcut. The repair that somehow worked. The moment everyone finally did their job and you actually made it.

This is an early step, and there are rough edges. Tell us where you got stuck, what felt confusing, and what made you want another run. Your experience will help us understand what needs attention and what we should build on.

Whether you’ve followed Yarnhub for years or just stumbled across a game with a ridiculous name, welcome.

Thank you for giving it a chance. & see you inside the tank,

Cyril & the Yarnhub team
