It has happened. Another 2D Platformer now has another Steam page.

The game is officially available to wishlist, marking a huge step towards its planned release this year.

I’m Bradley O’Neill, the designer and developer behind RadBradders, publishing the game through Creativerse Games.

By day, I teach game design and development. In the hours somehow left over, I make strange little games of my own. Teaching means I spend a lot of time explaining how games and their rules work—so naturally, I decided to create a platformer that keeps breaking them.

That questionable decision became Another 2D Platformer.

The first teaser offers a glimpse at the game’s opening levels. Everything begins like a fairly ordinary platformer, but it doesn’t remain ordinary for very long.

Rather than repeating the same mechanics across a series of increasingly difficult obstacle courses, Another 2D Platformer contains ten handcrafted levels, each built around its own central idea.

Every level changes something about how the game behaves. One might make every jump alter the world around you. Another removes jumping altogether. Platforms change their minds, gravity stops being helpful and even the exit might decide it doesn’t want to be reached.

Things also become increasingly crate-shaped.

The aim is to make every level feel like a new surprise, asking players to adapt while gently making fun of the platforming conventions they already understand.

For the rest of 2026, I’ll be building the remaining levels, refining the existing ones and polishing the experience into something that feels deliberately chaotic rather than accidentally broken.

That includes improving controls and accessibility, creating collectibles and secrets, developing the optional Time Trials, finishing the audio and visual polish, testing everything thoroughly and adding an entirely reasonable quantity of crates.

I’ll also be sharing more gameplay, development updates and behind-the-scenes looks as the project continues to take shape.
