VR Issue - UE4 Crash Upon Launch on Meta Quest 2
Getting a fatal error when launching the game from Steam VR on my Meta Quest 2. Seeing other issues on this board and online, but no solutions. Anyone come up with anything?

Here is a screenshot of the error: https://imgur.com/a/YbWEvDa

I've tried:
- Updating all drivers
- Uninstalling and reinstalling, several times
- Rebooting both devices numerous times
- Deleting the Unreal Engine cash in my %AppData% folder
- Adding "-DX11" to my launch options (recommended by someone else on here, didn't work for me)

Any other fixes?

Are you using a custom XR like OpenXR? Also... is this game dead on VR?

im having the same problem
I have no problems running Chess Ultra on Quest 2.

You might have a completely unrelated problem, but for me, there is only one way to reliably get all my Steam games to run on Quest 2:

1) Open Steam and the Meta Quest Link desktop apps on PC, but DO NOT launch the game from there.
2) Connect and Enable PC link from within the Quest headset
3) Launch Steam VR from within the PC link interface on the headset.
4) Launch the game from within Steam VR (again, in the headset, not the desktop). (Note: for a long time now, when opening Steam VR this way, it just leaves me inside the empty Steam grid-space with no interface and without opening the Home application. I have to use the left controller menu button to bring up the steam interface. This is not a big deal but if you don't know about it you will just sit there frustrated not knowing what to do).

Quest is a great piece of hardware for the price but Quest Link can be very finicky. Every other sequence or method of launching games gives me intermittent and sometimes fatal problems (some games more than others). Whereas doing the above I have been able to run virtually every game without incident.

Playing here with Quest 2 and Virtual Desktop, it plays great and it looks amazing in VR.
Original, Cute and fancy places to play.
