Computer Loses and Earns More Points..... WTH is that?

How does this ELO point system work in Chess Ultra? (Please don't explain the base way the ELO system works, I've looked it up. Obviously, there's a different metric in this game, because the computer has earned more points even when they've lost.) So, can someone who knows - not someone who just wants to comment - please explain why the computer can lose and still receive more points?

Definitely something to this; just beat the Expert AI and its score went from 1558 to 1557, so it lost all of one point.

Thanks for chiming in, Threeist. It just seems that that entire rating system sucks, imo.... (Losing and gaining points??? WTH? Beating an Expert Level and the "Expert" not being seriously docked - WTH?? Like I said, the rating system sucks.)

I beat the computer for a change last night and we BOTH gained points. ??? I also think the levels are messed up. I keep getting crushed on Novice. No, I'm not THAT bad at chess.

Haha I've had that where I finally beat the AI on level 4 and my and its elo went up Which made me wonder, will it now be harder to beat at level 4 next time lol

I just won and AI got +8 elo and I got +11 elo and the AI elo was 100 points above mine... somehow it got points for loss lol

EDIT: I just won a game and AI got higher elo increase than I did.

EDIT2: I just won a game, I lost -1 elo and AI lost -12 elo....wth?
Pretty much a game-killer issue.

Hehe - just saw this in game - figured it was a bug. Beat the computer with a rating about 100 points above me. It gained 21 points; I gained 14. Made zero sense.

I was wondering if the game was increasing the difficulty. I just defeated the "Master" difficulty which is only 2080 or so, but it gained points when I won. I'm assuming it'll just keep getting stronger until I can't win anymore? There's no way a computer can't be so weak as to be beaten by a human being. A simple phone application can defeat the world champion.
