Hey, Oculus Rift doesn't support HDR. You can disable this to continue playing with HMDs.

Why I can't enable HDR on desktop version? I have a Vive, but I can't enable HDR in any of both options.

Please could you share some info about your PC set-up and also the monitor you are using?

HDR also greyed out for me on both my computers. Desktop = 4770k, NVidia gtx 1080ti, win 10 (Australia) running 4K resolution. Also, same issue in my laptop running at 1080p ... vid card on laptop is 1070. I have oculus rift on desktop computer but haven't tried chess ultra in VR as yet. Good game so hoping little bugs like this (and the other one I have posted about re: no text in tutorials) get sorted soon. Thanks :)

Thanks for the info, really appreciate that. Please can you let us know which monitor you are using?

Hi, I'm away from home and can't remember the desktop monitor details off the top of my head ... but it's one of the major known monitor brands .. the laptop is a high end ASUS ROG gaming laptop so again, one of the major gaming brands ... sorry I can't be more specific at the moment.

Hello? No Support?
Ripstone  [developer] Jun 28, 2017 @ 5:47am
Please ensure your display supports High-dynamic-range video (HDR video) in order to enable HDR in-game. HDR10 and Dolby Vision are the most common standards. You will also require an Nvidia 900 or 1000 series graphics card or higher, but AMD support for HDR is coming in the future.

The Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and Samsung SyncMaster EX2220 do not support HDR video.

OHHHH!!!!!!!!!! We arent talking about HDR....The Advanced Bloom Effect we are talking about 10BitHDR, but even then the devices can Emulate it its just more like Bloom then.

Sorry to necro an old thread, but there does not appear to be a clear answer and there are no other threads on the topic:

I have a BenQ BL3200 2560x1440 VA panel running off a GeForce 1080ti. 10bit colour depth is enabled in the nVidia control panel, but the HDR option in-game is still greyed out. Is this exclusively for 4K screens?

If so it doesn't support HDR and HDR can't be enabled. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news :(
