It loaded okay for me. I'm playing the Oculus VR version. What version are you playing, 2D or a VR version?

all versions stopped loading for me as well. Normal and all VR versions. Reinstall fixed it 1 time then it happened again. All other games with VR are working fine.

Are you still experiencing issues? If so, please could you try a couple of things and also provide some more info?

Firstly could you check that Steam is up to date. And then leave the game idle for 5 minutes to see if it eventually loads and lets you into the game?

If this doesn't work, please could you provide some extra info:
- Are you using wired or wireless internet
- Steam cloud enabled? y/n
- Could you provide DxDiag info? Bring up the start menu, then type dxdiag and run the command to open the dxdiag tool. Click "Save all information..." to save a .txt file that can then be e-mailed to us at [e-mail]

Im having the same issue ---> black screen after the initial splash screen (on both VR and non VR). It occurred after i bumped the VR video quality to High in the in game settings.

I've uninstalled and removed all files including registry keys and reinstalled but to no avail. Since the screen is black I can't change the settings back to medium.

I hear music and my cursor with interacting with the UI but its just black.

- Windows 10
- RTX 2080 TI
- Intel I9-9900k

Also, the sound comes out of my computer's speakers not the HMD even tho my HMD gets sound from all other VR titles.

Same issue. It loaded once the first time I launched, played 2 games - closed, came back later in the day and now won't load at all. Any updates on what to try to fix this?

Similar issue - game loads to title screen (press any key) after I press key it starts to load a menu screen and crashes to desktop.

Is there any update on a solution to this? Load, black screen. Waited for like 30 min and no change. Alt tab I get to see a flash of the main menu then it goes away, minimizes and wont maximize back or load again.

Just purchased and I have the same problem. Running it on two computers and both computers won't load it. Have verified files, but still nothing.
