Caesar IV: "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way"

I bought Caesar IV for Steam a while back. I remember that I was able to play it for a while; I remember also that for a while it would pretend to start up and then come back to the entry screen. But now I get a different error: "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way", naming CaesarIV.exe. Is there a known solution for this? I'd rather play it than get a refund.

Execute Steam\steamapps\common\Caesar 4\C4\RegisterDLL.bat (right clic) in admin mod
It just worked for me !!! :D
