HOW TO GET CAESAR IV WORKING!

This guide is for people getting the runtime error when attempting to launch the game. Compatible with Windows 7, 8 and 10. (This might not work for everyone. Post below if it works for you.)

Easy Fix

~ Find the game's folder on your computer. Default location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Caesar 4\C4

~ Find and run RegisterDLL.bat as an administrator.

~ Now try launching the game to confirm that it works.

Tested on Windows 7 64-bit, Windows 8.1 64-bit & Windows 10

Note: if the game still doesn't run then try setting its compatibility mode to Windows XP SP2

I tried all the recommendations and it did not work. After 1 hour of trying everything I decided to install DirecX again and finally It's working!!! Beautiful memories to see the game again!!!!

Don't work tried everything. Caeser 3 works perfect

edit: just updated the OS to win 11. After launched C4, it asks for some updates, then it works. I feel for anyone still have problems.
