Lugdunum bug or what?
Hi, I'm new... I've start to play with Caesar 3 too many years ago, about 20 (one of my teacher give to us the game to play with) and then... I'm here another time. But I've got a problem in Lugdunum ... I've stubid start to build into the bottom right of the maps, then expand on the ''isle'' and then pu farm on the 2nd island.... and here start the problem! I put new home and into the screen appear the message ''your people eat more than you produce'' or something similar... then immediately under it, ''mediolanum'' then ''brundisium'' and then the house disapper from the land. No problem with farms or prefecture or other buildings, only with house!
I've put the mission house near native people... if i clik on a native it say i can build into theyr land etc.. but if i build close to them, they destroy all and appear other message and house disappear.. Am I stupid or is a bug? I've think it isn't a bug only because I've try it on 3 pc's and appear different message but house disappear ever. I've look at some tutorial on yt and see the house are ever near the native...... what I'm doing wrong?

And second problem... but technic.. if I put the widescreen patch, them don't work on my notebook, I start the game and it crash every time. it's maybe my graphicboard too old? it's a old notebook (2011) .. I've install Win10 but maybe old notebook with last OS and old game revisited for WIN10... can't work.. Sorry for my english I'm italian.. hope you understand what I mean!

Thanks to who answer to me!

I don't know if this is your problem, but did you remember to build any Mission Posts on the native's land? You can see what the natives consider to be there own by clicking Overlays, Risks, then Native. It shows up as red tiles. You can build and delete roads on this land but nothing else except putting down one or two Missionary Posts (under the Education button). As the missionaries wander around the native settlement they will educate the natives as to the benefits of joining the empire. Eventually they will accept you and the red tiles will turn to normal. Then you can go ahead and develop whatever you like.

Be aware that the rise in difficulty from the previous level to Lugdunum is quite steep and it will present you with all kinds of headaches. But it can be done and I wish you luck.

Yes I've build one Mission Posts but I haven't check the risk ... So it's normal that from the 2nd ''island'' and the native land the home disappear by theyr own? Near the native houme they destroy some and next them disappear... But I've build 3 farms on the island and they don't disappear, is this I cant'understand... And the message on the screen with the name of other city...
So, do I start to build on the other side of the maps, import fruit and expand the city only when I've a lot of food? Now I go to try another time... :)

Homes usually disappear soon after building them if immigrants cannot get to them. It's a good idea to check that there is a clear path from the entry point to the location of the homes. Immigrants can be barred from them by water, rocks, trees and even buildings. Don't give up!

Next a few hours, I'll be able to build the house also near the native. All seems to goes right... And in a few seconds ALL THE HOME disappear!!! I don't know why... i've 4500 people and in a blink of eye 160... another time appear the message ''brunidisium'' ''mediolanum'' and PUFF! no more home.
i've think, maybe is because of a landslide bloced trading route? So, when ''landslide'' message appear, do i stop trading for a few time?

I'm scratching my head over all this. I told you it wasn't easy! There are some videos by GamerZakh on YouTube which you might find helpful. This one is about Caesar3 in general;

and these are about Lugdunun in particular:

Hi, sorry for the delay but my internet connection was ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Finally next some hours, I will able to win Lugdunum! I think the problem was that I ''run'' too much fast ... I'm play Lugdunum very slow and finally I've got it! I've saved the game a lot of time so if I build something and it happen, I'm able to restart from the saved play... Now I'm on Valentia... But I've finally restart work and I don't have all the time I have when I'm at home for 2 months fot Covid emergency,,,, but slowly i go! Thank you!
