dont play on very hard difficulty it has a bug where immigrants stop coming after a while
Bunker Jan 20, 2018 @ 5:01pm
that is no bug. you need to trigger the next event

"Just one other point about Brundisium - it is a 'tutorial' mission and won't let you progress until you have fulfilled certain goals. More than that, there is a population freeze where immigration simply stops altogether and won't budge no matter what you do. Just sit it out - it'll restart in due course."

second stage is still tutorial. make sure you provide food, water, service building to your population.

The tutorial has that effect. You cannot get more population untill events trigger and some juildings are placed. It is intended so you have to go through the tutorial of temples and administration.

They're probably unhappy. Caesar III is a great game for its time and was my Dad's favourite strategy game when it came out. I recommend it to fans of ancient Rome.

About the time I get my population up and running the town burns downs. I've got prefectors (or whatever they're called) running all over the place, but the city still goes up in flames. VERY frustrating!!! :steamsad:

dont make too many crossroads. if possible only make one straight road with no bifurcations or as little as possible. otherwise the fire dept guys might just take the side roads and they never go where you want em to

@Silent Otto you may have had some prefects stop working during a labor shortage. Prefects will walk considerable distances to put out fires, so it won't be obvious that they weren't around before the fire. You can use the labor advisor to prioritize having prefects over workers in your tenth workshop.
