In order to fix this, build a single small tent(or a couple) next to the farms. This way the dude who walks out of the farms will always walk past the tent.
Even though the tent only has like 5 people living in it, it's enough. If the farm(or any building) has access to at least some population, it has access to your whole workforce.
So you could for example have all your houses on one side of the map, then build industry on the other side along with a tent or two, and now your industry would have access to all your worksforce even if there is no road connecting the two.
