How does strafing work?
Might be a stupid question, but I cant seem to get the hang of it. Might be that the game controls like Mario Kart (that I just completed on the Wii U) but the strafing/sliding does not. My brain might be a bit confused atm and needs to be re-trained.

But is there a trick to it? Are you just supposed to use it when getting to close to corners to avoid hitting barriers, or is there a setup before each turn?

If anyone could explain me the basics, I'll go back in and git gudd. Thanks.

Turn early into a left turn, straif right till pointing out of the corner, and maybe straif left a bit if needed.

Also look at the controller setup, default has straif on right joystick, but it can be on the second triggers with another setup.

Alright thanks. I'll work on that then. Found out that the third controller option with acc on A and strafe left/right on the main triggers was the closest to what I have always been used to doing in these kind of games, but it felt wrong for some reason. Orginal setup was best.

But yeah, I'll get the hang of it. Loving the game so far.
Alltough I suspect the AI isnt actually racing. Some strange rubberbanding-ish thing going on.

I'm about 4 hours in, gold in every event I've played so far, and I honestly have NOT noticed any rubber-banding. Not sure what everyone is getting worked up about :p

The devs have stated that there is rubberbanding in the first 4 events. Didn't really notice it personally cos I didn't suck THAT bad xP
