Can't connect to Square Enix Servers

I have a Server issue, i can't connect to the Square Enix ones. But i also can't play (just) cause it continues to prompt me the "Servers are currently not online" even if i select the "offline mode".

This sucks. It's a single player game, why the hell do I have to connect to their servers to play. What's even more frustrating is you select "offline mode" and it still pulls up the menu 5 seconds later which makes the game unplayable.

you can disable your internet to play but i dont know if it saves, i use cloud saves, so i dont play cause i dont wanna waste time if it doesnt save, yeah this sucks...

I don't want to disable internet and go completely offline for a stupid game bug. It's absurd and frustrating. Moreover, the annoying fact is that this message is being prompted every 3 seconds.

start the game 1 time with internet disabled.

then exit, turn the internet back on, and you can run the game normally.

or at least that's what happened to me today.
