In JC3, you had enemies walking around, and you'd have enemies spawn at a distant point and race in.
In JC4, I had a mission where enemies were spawning in areas I'd already cleared, spawning around me in areas that had been empty a moment before, etc., and they weren't coming from anywhere.
Now, granted, it did make the mission a little more lively since I couldn't simply camp on the rooftop and hit them as they drove up.
Same with the "stay where you are because if you leave this totally open and defenseless platform, the endless waves will continue, but you won't make progress on the download" etc etc etc. It's kinda lame. Instead of making us fight INTELLIGENT enemies, they simply force you to stay in a strategically stupid location while surrounding you with enemies.
crouch
cover
fire around corners and over cover
fewer enemies, but smarter enemies: enemies take cover, camp, fall back, flank, fire from distance, etc.
Oh there is one mission where you have to drive like 8 to 10 km with a high wanted level while babysitting some friendly AI who probably don;t know the difference between the trigger and the gun safety. Couple that with the enemy AI's stupid tendancy to swerve into you and the ridiculous spawn rate of enemy choppers and its a chore in and of itself just to get a replacement vehicle.
I spent an hour on that mission alone with 20 minutes of that being me using a trainer and failing 3 times. I came close to just uninstalling the game right then and there.
To put it simply...if your vehicle gets disabled you won't be able to get another one because of how fast the choppers respawn so your only option then is to restart.
Last night I had FIVE choppers on me. That's too much. This game is supposed to be fun, but getting rockets from three choppers, snipers from two more, plus assorted snipers and rocket launchers from enemies around me is more than just a bit too much.
I think you guys forgot that Rico is supposed to be the hero.
I'm not asking for an easy game. In some ways the game is too easy. But the solution isn't to just spam choppers and rocket launchers everywhere.
Again: a good game should have a good AI that fights smart, not simply more enemies.
Here's what i'd like to see.

Here's what I'm gonna do - skip JC5. Or buy it much later when reviews confirm it is actually like JC3 or JC2 and only then think 10 times and then buy.
