i finished the game and still dont know anything about the blackhand commander, espinoza, or any character at all

where is the story honestly a more '' serious'' tone doesnt mean less story... in JC3 we knew Deravelo's goal, reaction, and he even talked to you while in mission

your ally are literally nothing, cartboard people, you could change each and everyone of them by another npc and it would not change a thing

in JC3 change Marco for someone else and try to make the story fit
or Dima

this game just made me appreicate more the attention to details JC3 had, concrete wall could be broken down, collectible as audio log to know deravelo more if we wanted

this game is a mess from start to finish.... it feel like a spin off more than '' JC4 '' ....

Yeah i will play Just Cause 3 too since i left it unfinished, i think i was in the middle of it.

In Just Cause 4 the only thing was to destroy the project illapa which consists of 3 main missions, each one easier than the other. i barely died during any missions.

still the best and my favorite Just Cause game is Just Cause 1.

the more i think about it the more i believe this games only goal was to set up the NEXT just cause, its the only developpement we had in this game, everything else is as shallow as possible, i would not have cared if anyone got hurt in this story

i wont spoil what little story there is but now we literally know what the next game ennemy will be, in JC3 the blackhand was hinted at as something existing and was expended on in the dlc but thats was all

this one... it literally spells it out.

so you think they put most of their efforts into improving the game engine and only little on the story and the next Just cause will be better?

Black Hand was in JC1 as well.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ it, i forgot how great and amazing JC3 compared with JC4 was, way too busy trying to figure out how bad this game is (not to mention how bad the graphic quality too), the lack of quests, events, and weapons and even the explosions looked much cooler in JC3...

going to reinstall JC3 again then , thanks bro,

haha

I can't complain about the graphics, it's 2 times better than JC3.

i dont know how the next game will be, depends on their efforts and polishing, and actual writing...

as for the black hand i didn't knew, JC3 treathed them as a new thing and i started with JC3, just recently bought JC2

I think the developers thought they were going to have considerably more time to complete their game but were pressured by corperate to not only release it early, but also dial down the PC version's graphics so that the console and PC versions were fairly even. I've seen what Avalanche can do. I know they're capable of better than what we're seeing with JC4.

If you've never played it, I suggest picking up Mad Max for PC. Perfect example of Avalanche's unimpeded efforts. Few games look as good or are as well optimized, and it's an absolutely brutal game from end to end.

Mad Max is a good looker but the gameplay gets dull before the story completes itself.

Depends on who you ask, I suppose. I can see what you mean though. Lots of busy work. Some people prefer that old Assassin's Creed, Arkham Series and even JC3 million-little-things-to-do type of experience. I certainly prefer it to the JC4 formula, which I still don't entirely understand the point of.

- Execute simple task at a region's small military installation and the entire region becomes yours, e.g.: welp, he stole <insert tech thingy>, guess we should pack it up and not be in this private military anymore
- Front line combat shilled as innovative concept is as completely and utterly pointless as it is endless
- Everything you destroy grows back, even if you're in control of the base it's on
- You did these handful of stunts at the behest of a sterotypical American film director, but even though you're on a fictional island off the coast of South America, this somehow translates into you having dominion over Quaint Spanish Town B

To each their own, I guess. Still, dull as it may wind up seeming and sick graphics aside, the whole Mad Max experience does a hell of a job illustrating (and even managing to simulate) PTSD to people that neither have nor understand it, the ending in particular.

yea the game does seem to be going fast, I havn't done many of the story missions yet but I do have 3/4 of the map completed on taking over the bases and advancing the front line

I don't understand this game at all.
IronManhood Dec 8, 2018 @ 5:34pm
It's essentially a physics sandbox with a small side of story.
dimitriosflessas Dec 8, 2018 @ 5:39pm
Maybe they made JC4 crappy on purpose so people will buy JC3? Ha Ha I was amazed how people liked 3 instead of this game.
