The Ocean and Water

Been watching some streams on twitch and I've noticed that the quality of the water Visuals is insane ugly, like as if its something from Playstation 2 era. I asked the streamers to check their Graphic settings and it seems everything was set on Max.

Considering how good JC3 water effects looked I don't understand why does it look so bad in this game. You guys think its bugged or working as intended?

I think they must have compromised on it in their new engine for the weather physics. Kinds sucks since JC3 water was so good

If that's so its way too much of a compromised because it looks horrible, check some streams on twitch and see for your self how bad it is.

lets wait and see, video and stream often have a compression issue,

from what i,ve seen it's pretty same-y but the lighting affect how water look more in jc4 than jc3 where the color pallet is more bright and flashy

The stream was from PC, and even the people in the comment were saying how insane bad it looks. I love JC and I plan on getting 4 too but that does not mean everything about it is amazing.

Looks fine in this video. I agree, the water effects seemed absent but I think it was a pre-release thing. Or settings were turned down.

people do have press copies on steam. anyway i watched spamfish play it on steam pc. water was bad, looked all flickery and weird. he was running on a 2080ti. Still press copies tend to be not patched from day one release. even so it does look bad from what i've seen

So now that game is released and every one is commenting on the uglyness of the water effects, are you going to take back your white knight shield? I told you i noticed how bad it looked during the streams and I got hated on.
