but hey.....cardboard enemies!
It's just bad.
1. Just Cause has always been about Rico Rodriguez being a badass. Shooting cardboard cutouts is not badass.
2. Racing games should be smooth. They should should flow. Races should be based on skill. These races are cluttered with junk that constantly stops the flow. Cars get hung up on trees, on debris, on obstacles like giant wrecking balls and concrete pillars and pipes and edges of ramps. There's no flow.
3. When we get a high enough score, we get automatic upgrades applied to the cars. That's not interesting. The player should be allowed to decide how to upgrade the car. I bet players would love to choose colors, decals, weapons, mods, upgraded engines, etc.
4. There are other cars, but the AI is mindless. They're randomly driving around PRETENDING to shoot. There's no real danger. If they hit me, it's an accident.
To me, this dlc is not fun. I don't enjoy repeating races just so I can get a higher score and get a better car and then ... do more races.
This DLC should have been shot down on the planning board.
Sean: ... the pest?
Jake: Well said. So, let's call 'em bodies ... well, those bodies demand things we just can't do.
Mike: Like slightly better graphics than Just Cause 3? Waves? Physics of the water?
Jake: Shut up, new guy. It's perfect! You just don't see it. So ... what will it be, gentleman?
Sean: A DLC around stuff nobody liked in the first place.
Jake: And that would be? A photo mode for the beautiful graphics?
Sean: Driving.
Jake: Tell me more ...
Sean: Cardboard enemies ...
Jake: *unzips pants*
Sean: And still the same graphics with no quality control whatsoever ... all for a fixed DLC price.
Sean: Holy .... ♥♥♥♥ ...
Mike: I quite.
lol!!!
I knew the DLC wasn't gonna be anything special
People don't come to JC for a deep, dark storyline. They come to play the video game equivalent of a Michael Bay movie.
However it's definitely the wrong game for this mode only because there are explosions doesnt make it instantly something for just cause 4 likelish. The new cars are technically a "useless" as rewards, since we all know how the aiming was in jc3 with armed cars.It was terrible and it's still is and gets worser with the low ammo stuff.
But well i still finished it and got s rank on every race. Thanks god there is something like "workarounds" , but yeah ... not much use for those cars , after you have them. They still get destroyed quite easily and are useless against black hands. The mech in jc3 was far more usefull and got more variations to offer than this dlc currently.
Still nice idea and nice setup , but wrong game and bad controlls at certain points.
