Jupiter fills the skylight and the hotel doors are unlocked. The free playtest starts now — click Request Access on the store page. That puts you in a queue; access goes out in batches, and when yours lands the playtest shows up as its own entry in your Steam library.

One thing makes this playtest unusual: the playtest realm is the permanent realm. There is no wipe coming. Day one of the playtest is day one of the world's history, and everything you earn — ships, drone fleets, territory, standing — is yours for keeps. When the free playtest closes at Early Access launch, your character will be there.

It's an MMO, so the most valuable thing you can do is simply play: take missions, trade, fight, claim ground, and tell us about problems and opportunities we missed — right here in the Steam Discussions.
