How do I buy more Augment Slots?

There's no option to do this when you enter a shop

Hi! You can buy more slots in the shop's BUY panel - they are at the bottom right. Note that more slots become available as you advance through the tournaments, so if they are not available it's likely you've maxed out your robot for the current tournament.

I've made it to the second stage; beat all the robots in the first and then the story continued and pitted me against six more on a different map - I"m assuming that would be Tournament 2?

If so perhaps I have not advanced enough tournaments to start seeing slot unlocks?

You should be able to unlock extra slots in the shop's buy panel in Tournament 1 or 2, provided your robot has earned enough cash. Can you post an image of what you are seeing?

I figured it out, I wasn't far enough into the game

Ah great! Also check out the new "team status" panel at the start of 1P tournaments that gives you an overiew of your team's health and slots.
