Nobody left feedback on the first day of Next Fest (thank you for stopping by anyway), so I kept playing it myself. 0.1.2 improves the look and sound.

Visuals

- Part of the art style changed: the messy texture blending is gone, replaced by smooth, clay-like materials

- Walls and enemies are easier to tell apart

- New HUD option: quick slots with the health bar under them at the bottom centre; more layouts in Settings

- Menus and panels reworked; clearer titles and item names

- Enemy outlines reworked; burning enemies show flames on their outline

- Attacks on buildings and allies outside the screen show at the screen edge

- Photo mode (P) and hide UI (Alt+Z)

- Wave info moved to the top left, under the objective

- Cleaner build range indicator

- Player and building outlines now match the Kkomu and enemy outlines

Inventory and quick slots

- The bag slides up when it opens, and closing it has its own sound

- Equipment and inventory windows sit on the right, with clutter removed

- Item tooltips show their coin value as an icon and a count in the bottom right instead of a sentence

- Build costs read on one line with what you have, like "Wood 8 / 4"

- Pressing the selected quick slot or an empty slot leaves build mode

- Assigning an item to its own quick slot clears it; assigning it elsewhere moves it

- Vehicle and large tabs that aren't ready yet show as locked

- Z changes every Kkomu's order: Repair, Deliver (to you) or Store (in the nearest box); the slot sits left of the quick slots

Sound

- Many sounds replaced and new ones added

- Wrench hits sound different depending on the enemy

Settings and performance

- Accessibility: text size, colour-blind outlines, camera shake strength and more rebindable keys

- Options for low-end PCs: 3D render scale and frame rate limit

- On first launch, the main menu shows up sooner instead of a loading screen

Enemies

- The rats turned out to be shy, so they now spawn a little deeper in the cave

- Melee enemies spread around their target instead of attacking through each other

- After Continue, the first wave's rats leave their nests right away

- Kkomu's warnings now point where enemies really come from (deep in the cave, up the hill)

Other

- Playstyle choice temporarily lives in the panel under the minimap

- Game version in the bottom-left of the main menu; select it for the patch notes on Steam

- A window that shows what changed after an update

- Wishlist button moved (one wishlist each would mean a lot)

- Objective renamed to "Survive the enemy waves"

- A hint to open the inventory with Tab when you put on the robe

- Renamed: Goblin Wrench is now the Red Wrench

- Faster loading on retry

- Saves now live in %APPDATA%\Frondward\GrenchBoss. Existing saves are copied over on first launch, and the old folder is kept

I test and build this alone, so there may be bugs I haven't caught yet.

Please send a bug report, enjoy the other games for a while, and I'll work on fixing it by the time you're back.

Thank you.

- The forced playstyle trial on first launch is gone; MMO controls by default

- A low graphics setting for PCs below minimum specs, especially integrated graphics

- The game follows your Steam language, and the wishlist button opens in the Steam overlay (one wishlist each, please)

- Fixed some key bindings being lost after a restart

- Fixed gamepad players being unable to free the Kkomu

- Fixed the rats all running away from their nests when you took a break and came back with Continue

- Saves with terrain edits now carry over to future updates

Saves carry over. If something breaks, please send a bug report from the game or post in the Steam discussions.
