For some reason, this game starts up Steam VR and turns on my HTC Vive. This is the only game I have in my libaray that does that for some reason. Got any ideas why this is happening?

Whenever we try to start a local multiplayer match and the first one presses "A to join", the 5 sec countdown starts and no further controller is recognized. Is it possible to play with 2 or more controllers? Tested this with different controllers (XBone1, 360, Steam, PS4) and on different PCs (Win7/10). Always same result. Anyone can help?...
